The thing I like most about this unit is the price! It's much better than buying one from our friends in the UK named from the friend of George Boole (Lady Lovelace)! Now for the one bad part-- the case housing the chip is not well fitted. The USB connector was NOT properly placed on the pcb board and so it isn't straight. The other thing is it comes with NO little paper explaining which leads are TxD and RxD -- it's on the web site on the page showing the item! When I first connected it, I connected it backwards because I made the dumb mistake of assuming it would have the same wiring as the one from our friends in the UK -- NOT SO! They use the same color for the leads, BUT they reverse the function designation of the leads (green is TxD, white id RxD OR green is RxD, white is TxD). This item has the leads named from the point of view of the PI, whereas the one from the UL names the leads from the point of view of the chip(in there unit, you MUST remember to connect cable TxD to PI RxD and so forth). With this item, you connect cable TxD to PI TxD and so forth.
